4. Daniel McAlister
One of the best pic-ups of the post
1996 draft. He has exceptional skill and speed, and has also played rugby
and softball for Tasmania. He made hi debut in 1997, his first season with
the club, playing the last two (2) games of the year. He showed terrific
form in the 1998 pre-seaon. He has been given the famous number 4 guernsey,
worn most recently by Brownlow medallist Gavin Wanganeen, and before that
Michael Long and Leon Baker. It looks like he will continue the tradition
of those top players before him.
