26.  Chris Heffernan

Another top recruit from the post 1996 draft. He starred on the wing with the Geelong Falcons in 1996, and made his debut for the Bombers the next year. He played three of the last four games in1997, and played over half the season in the seniors during 1998.
He has certainly shown that he has potential to develop into a key player for Essendon. He hasbeen given Bomber Thompson's old number, so bigthings are expected from him.
